The journey to Guangzhou

Plan Your Visit

Plan Your Visit

What really makes people hesitate about cross-border care is usually not the medicine itself, but the transport, the cost, the escort and the admission arrangements. This page sets out those four practical questions clearly, so you know what to expect before you set off.

01 · Getting Here

How to get here: four main routes

The hospital is at No. 1161 Xingang East Road, Haizhu District, Guangzhou (Pazhou), close to the metro. Journey times below are references under normal traffic; allow extra time at peak hours.

02 · Insurance & Payment

Insurance and payment

The biggest worry in cross-border care is "finding out the cost only when you arrive". Our approach is to quote first and treat second, and to provide a complete set of claim documents.

Payment methods

Visa / Mastercard UnionPay Alipay WeChat Pay Bank transfer RMB cash

Claim documents prepared

  • Medical certificate (bilingual Chinese-English available)
  • Official medical receipts
  • Itemised cost breakdown
  • Discharge summary and test report summary
  • If your insurer has a designated form, we can help complete it

How cost is confirmed

  1. Submit your medical records and imaging
  2. The specialty team conducts a records review
  3. A written treatment recommendation and cost range is issued (with a validity period)
  4. Only after your written confirmation are the bed and schedule locked
  5. If extra items arise during treatment, the reason and estimated cost are explained and agreed first

Corporate clients: for company-arranged cross-border employee care, direct-billing and consolidated settlement can be discussed. Please have HR or the claims department contact us via the B2B window.

03 · Escort & Emergency Support

Escort and personal emergency assistance

This is the service Hong Kong patients mention most often — not because the medicine is complex, but because someone who speaks your language is waiting for you in the same place.

Escort staff accompanying a patient

Greater Bay Area Personal Emergency Assistance & Escort Services Centre

The hospital hosts a Greater Bay Area Personal Emergency Assistance & Escort Services Centre, providing cross-border support to patients in the region. Arrangements during your visit include:

  • Full same-language escort from arrival: registration, payment, blood draw, all investigations
  • Accompanying you into the consultation room, helping convey your history and record the doctor's advice
  • Daily follow-up during admission, with a bilingual condition summary for your family
  • Coordination of discharge, follow-up and referrals
  • Coordination and family-notification mechanism in emergencies

In an emergency: in a critical situation, call mainland China's emergency number 120 immediately, and also notify the International Patient Line +86 20 8307 0088 so we can step in and coordinate at once.

04 · Ward & Visiting

Visiting and admission guidance

The following are general arrangements. Actual rules follow the ward type and the hospital's current management measures, which nursing staff will confirm with you on admission.
